Naga Necklace

$ 375

The people of Nagaland, in Northern India, were the last living headhunters, a group with deep and simple principles of justice and decoration. Along with the ban of headhunting in the 1960s, many of the adornments that signified the social merit of the tribespeople also stopped being made. This bold and celebratory necklace feels almost like a garment in how it transforms a look. Gorgeous coral glass beads are interspersed with Venitiann Skunk beads, a highly collectible personal favorite.
