The Hindu Matrikas are a group of 7 mothers, usually joined by Shiva (hence the 8 figures). They are; your mother, the wife of the spiritual master, the wife of a brāhmaṇa, the wife of the king, the cow, the nurse, and the earth.
We might have a different version of 7 goddesses in our lives, but this charm makes a beautiful reminder of the importance of holding strong women in our hearts.
It has beautiful wear and patina, even a few repairs adding to the character of this heavy silver amulet.
