Gem Gao Box
An ancient Tibetian amulet, Gao boxes are portable shrines in which images of the owner’s personal deities are kept, together with other sacred objects. They were intended to be a part of daily Buddhist ritual, regardless of where the day may take you. You can still open the back and hold meaningful amulets or heirlooms. It is a beautiful and unique presentation from the late 19th c. yet remains perfectly wearable today.
